Finally, in 'Lethal Weapon 4' 1998, mismatched cops Riggs Gibson and Murtaugh Glover team up for a fourth time to foil an immigrant smuggling racket, run by a ruthless Asian Triad leader Jet Li. Joe Pesci also returns as Leo Getz, the cops' cowardly informant whilst Rene Russo leavens the boys with toys atmosphere as risk-taking detective Lorna Cole.

Richard Dreyfuss plays the lawyer who works with her to ensure she gets a fair trial. In 'The Main Event' 1979 Streisand is a businesswoman on the brink of ruin. Her one asset is a boxer, played by Ryan O'Neal, who is close to retirement. She decides to personally manage the boxer so that she can manipulate him into making a comeback, and with the money she makes she reckons she can save her perfume business.

Willie then decides to train the dog and race her in preparation for the famous Golden Bowl competition but in order to succeed, he must stay one step ahead of a bunch of crooks and corrupt bookies. In 'The Happy Family' 1952, set in the aftermath of WWII, Mr and Mrs Lord Holloway and Kathleen Harrison refuse to relocate their corner shop following a government plan to build a Festival Hall on the South Bank. When presented with the eviction order the family barricade themselves into the shop, forcing the bailiffs to come up with another way to have them removed. Finally, in 'A Day to Remember' 1953 a group of darts players from the same pub decide to take a day trip to France. While some are going to France for the darts, one man plans to buy cheap watches and smuggle them back to Britain for a profit. Jim Carver Donald Sinden has a more sombre intention, having fought in France during the war, he heads to a nearby cemetery to pay his respects to a fallen comrade. Along the way he bumps into Martine Odile Versois, a Frenchwoman he used to know. However, even as love blossoms Jim and his fellow darts players still have a boat to catch...

In the first film, 'Dirty Harry' 1971, the maniacal Scorpio Killer is on the loose and Callahan disregards procedure in his efforts to track him down, regularly using his trusty Magnum .44 to dispense his own brand of justice. The sequel, 'Magnum Force' 1973, sees a group of renegade San Francisco law enforcers using policing methods which even hardened Callahan considers to be beyond the pale. As drugs bosses, pimps and other street low-life drop like flies, Callahan is assigned to track down the loose cannon cops who have decided to take the law into their own hands. The follow-on, 'The Enforcer' 1976, finds Callahan unwillingly partnered with a female officer Tyne Daly when he is charged with tracking down a terrorist group made up of psychopathic hoodlums. 'Sudden Impact' 1983 sees Callahan overstepping the mark one more time, and he is sent 'on holiday' to a small Californian town where he soon antagonises the local Chief of Police, triggers off a wave of murderous mayhem and becomes involved with a rape-revenge killer. Finally, 'The Dead Pool' 1988 finds Callahan the target of macabre interest when his name appears on an anonymous hit list. It's not that he minds being singled out by killers, it's just that he doesn't like appearing on a list which also features rock stars and TV celebrities.

His obsession with revenge slowly lifts however, as he picks up various outcasts in the wilderness and attempts to lead them to a safe haven where they can rebuild their lives. Finally, in 'Unforgiven' 1992, set in 1880s Kansas, ageing gunslinger-turned-farmer William Munny Eastwood reluctantly agrees to come out of retirement to collect the bounty on a wanted cowboy with the help of his old friend Ned Logan Morgan Freeman. The man in question attacked a prostitute in a lawless town lorded over by the corrupt Sheriff Daggett Gene Hackman, and if Munny and Logan want to catch him they are going to have to deal with Daggett first.
